Overcoming the Need to “Do the Right Thing”

I made the mistake many times in business of “trying to do the right thing” according to how other people thought a business should be run, rather than following my Guidance.

For example, many people told me that it was important to implement a sales funnel for Quantum-Touch. Basically the idea behind a sales funnel is to create a process that takes customers from the initial contact with the business into a purchase - such as a workshop or product in our case. I was encouraged to create a linear process and monitor each step along the way with different statistics.

To be honest, my Heart was never into working with sales funnels or monitoring customer activity. Yet I believed it was the right thing to do. So I hired different people to create a linear sales process for our business. These employees were great people but it seemed that every attempt they tried was doomed to failure.

I ignored what my Heart was saying and tried to “follow the rules.” Ultimately, I ended up spending a lot of money with very little results.

After spending years trying to create a successful sales funnel, I finally gave up. Not only were my attempts unsuccessful, I felt absolutely no joy whatsoever when contemplating sales funnels! This lack of joy was clearly a sign from the Universe that I should be following a different path. I spent years banging my head against the wall and ignoring Guidance because I thought I was “doing the right thing” according to business experts.

When I finally started following Guidance, the path was actually effective! And, I felt a lot of Joy in the process because my Heart felt aligned!

The first set of instructions I received was to focus on cleaning up the clutter in the business. Cleaning up the clutter applied to physical files, files on the computer, cleaning up our website, our email, etc.
